‘Outstanding Sports’ sponsored by Hemlow and presented to Magda Mosengo and highly commended to Stephen Crosbie;
‘Making a positive contribution to Academy Life’ sponsored by ACL presented to Granit Zeneli and highly commended to Wasim Ali & Rebecca Harris;
‘Excellence in Performing Arts’ sponsored by ACL presented to Sian Jenkinson and highly commended to Ian Day.
Students celebrate at Academy Awards
Alan Hodgin, Marketing Manager for RM Plc, was the guest of honour at a glittering prize-giving ceremony held at Stockley Academy on 1st December 2009.
The purpose of the ceremony was to recognise and reward pupils academic and other significant achievements. Students, Teachers, Parents and Carers really enjoyed the event. Amongst those honoured were students who received one of seven special Academy Awards. The glass trophy awards were kindly sponsored by businesses with a connection to the Academy.
In his speech which focused on the secrets of success Mr Hodgin warmly congratulated the students for their hard-work and commitment. He said, “It is right we should recognise students efforts and academic achievements in such a public way. Their hard-work, drive and dedication does credit to them and the Academy and lays the foundations for their future success.”
